This is my first attempt at glazed ceramics. I wanted to create something with an organic look. But I decided to use a vivid glaze which is what earthenware glazes tend to be.
Thanks Sikiu:) I'm starting to learn about glazes. The earthenware glazes are nice and vivid but I think the stoneware could suit figurative sculpture better.
Cheers Mack:) To be honest I'm not really into pots so the ceramics tutor has encouraged me to do sculpture in the classes. I did enjoy creating the vase though.

Very nice, Chris! I went to evening classes in pottery 25years ago and loved it. The glazes always seemed to come out dark brown, tho'.
Gorgeous piece, Chrispy - I'm really impressed. Good luck with all this stuff; it's a very depressing time for lots of people right now. I guess the best thing to do is to branch out and be ready for when the upturn happens!

I'm trying a few things to see what I feel happiest doing.
My shortlist included, Illustration, (3D and digital), ceramics, carved wood, stained glass, silver jewellery, polymer figures/garage kits.
I am down to two or three of these now. So I'm making progress:)
I think illustration will always be in the mix somewhere. But I'm going to change things a bit in terms of style.
